There are a few well known teams in this tournament, a few well known teams with new names, a few new coaches, a couple of teams we haven't seen in this area, but a lot of old friends on the field and in the stands...
I was in St Clements today...the fields look great, the brand new food and beverage pavilion is all ready to go...This tournament was rained out last year..the weather looks great for Friday and Saturday...and it's only a very short drive north of KW...come out to St Clements and be prepared to be impressed by this newly refurbished ball yard and some great fastpitch.
KITCHENER FASTBALL LEAGUE
The Rogers TV game of the week was super last Thursday. Televised locally on RogersTV -cable 20- the game featured the defending Classics against the Selects..The game was tight, low scoring, some great pitching and great play by play from Justin Fauteux with Rick Boyd providing the insight and background.
This week the Smoke and the Bulldogs were up and they too provided Rogers TV with a good game..Smoke 9, Bulldogs 2...Smoke with a bat around 5th inning to put it away...Larry Cox closed it out for the Smoke...
Good to see Paul Clemons at short for the Smoke....
Way to go everyone....
The Rogers coverage of the KFL was one of the most popular discussion items at the Woodstock Crush ball tournament, along with Christine Rivet's article in last weeks Record about the KFL.
